Do you recognise these signs?

  • Growth has stalled

Revenue has not moved for a while, even though the team works harder than ever.

  • Margins are falling

The same amount comes in, but less is left over.

  • Customers drop off

Customers who used to come back stay away, and nobody knows exactly why.

  • Too many priorities at once

Everything is urgent, so nothing gets the attention it needs.

  • Endless debates about the cause

Everyone has an explanation, but nobody has tested it.

  • These are symptoms. The cause often lies somewhere else.

From symptom to cause

We dig to the cause that matters

  1. SymptomsWhat you see: growth stalls, margin shrinks, customers drop off.
  2. CausesWhy it happens, tested against numbers.
  3. Root causeThe one cause that explains the most.
  4. DecisionWhat you do now, and what you stop.

From top to bottom: symptoms, causes, root cause, decision.

  • Symptom

    Growth has stalled

    Revenue flat, margin under pressure

    • Cause

      Pricing

      Prices not revised for years

      • Costs rose, prices did not

      • Discounts without rules

    • Cause

      Capacity

Example of a cause tree. Every cause is tested against numbers before a decision follows.

Symptom or cause: how we work

  1. Facts first

We start from your figures and from conversations with management and team. What is really happening, regardless of what everyone thinks?

  2. Testing hypotheses

Every possible cause becomes a statement we test against the figures. If it does not hold, it drops out.

  3. Finding the real constraint

There is usually one cause that holds growth back the most. We name it in one sentence, with the evidence.

  4. Prioritising by impact

You receive a short list of what to tackle first, ranked by what it delivers.

What you receive

  1. PDF

    Diagnosis report

With the fact base, the core problem in one sentence, a cause tree, a priority list and the recommended next steps.

  2. Presentation

    Management presentation

A short presentation of the findings, to share with your team, your bank or your shareholders.

What a diagnosis is not

  • Accounting review
  • Audit
  • Legal due diligence
  • SWOT exercise

A diagnosis is not an accounting review, an audit, legal due diligence or a SWOT exercise. It is carried out personally by our founder.

When a diagnosis makes sense

Before you invest in growth

A new market, extra staff, a major campaign: first find out whether that investment removes the real brake.

After two or more quarters without growth

When standing still is no longer a coincidence, it pays to know the cause before you change anything.

When the team disagrees about the cause

An independent view based on facts settles the debate and brings the team back in line.

Before an important talk with your bank or shareholders

You arrive with a well-founded story: what is going on and what you are doing about it.

From diagnosis to action

  1. Market

The cause lies in the market or with customers

Then market and competitive insight maps where you play and for whom.

  2. Choice

A choice has to be made

Then strategy and economics helps you set options side by side and back a choice.

  3. Capacity

    The team lacks capacity

Then business automation frees up time, or an AI audit shows where AI helps.

For executive teams of larger organisations there is a separate, personal track: Wynmond Privé.

Frequently asked questions about a business diagnosis

How does it differ from an analysis by my accountant?

Your accountant looks at the figures: what happened, does everything add up, what it means for tax. A diagnosis looks for why it happens: which cause holds growth back and what you do about it. We work with your accountant’s figures, but we do not replace them. It is not an accounting review or audit.

How much time does a diagnosis ask of our team?

About 6 hours, spread over two to three weeks: an intake, providing figures, a few interviews with management and staff, and the presentation of the results. We do the rest of the work. You can read how that runs in our method.

Which data do you need?

Recent figures, such as the annual accounts and, where available, revenue per customer or per product. Plus conversations with management and team. If some figures are missing, we work with what there is and say honestly where the analysis reaches its limits. Everything stays confidential.

Does everything stay confidential?

Yes. What you share is used only for the diagnosis. We publish no names, figures or findings without your written consent. The report is meant for you, and you decide who you share it with. You can read more about how we work in our approach.

What does a business diagnosis cost?

€3,950 excl. VAT, as a fixed price. If you order a follow-up project of €5,000 excl. VAT or more within three months of the diagnosis, we deduct half of the diagnosis fee. You are under no obligation to continue with us: the diagnosis and the plan are yours. See what you receive.
